Prepare for an electrifying literary soirée that will set your soul ablaze! After setting the White House bar Limerick on fire with two sensational readings, the ‘First Wednesday Series’ is BACK and more thrilling than ever. Mark your calendars for Wednesday October 4th at 7:30 PM, because it’s going to be a night to remember.

Get ready to be swept away by the astounding talents of Zach Leahy, a dynamic playwright and poet hailing from the vibrant city of Limerick. Zach is no stranger to success, having graduated from the University of Limerick with a Bachelor of Arts in English and History in 2019, followed by a Masters in History in 2021. His latest triumph was the mesmerising play “With Love, For My Two Daughters,” which played to a SOLD-OUT audience at the Belltable in December 2022, as part of the Weird Gravy Showcase. But that’s not all – he’s currently crafting a poetic masterpiece titled “We Were All Just Bones,” and you can catch glimpses of this work in progress on his Instagram poetry haven, @piripiripearpoetry or why not come and see him ‘live’ and ‘in person’ on Wed Oct 4th at our gathering.

And that’s not the end of the literary magic! The stage is yours at the open mic, where aspiring poets can seize their moment in the spotlight. Don’t leave it to chance; secure your place early! Reach out to Dominic at limerickwriterscentre@gmail.com to reserve your spot at the open-mic segment.

Guiding you through this spellbinding evening are the dynamic hosts, D’or Seifre and Lauren McNamara. They’re the driving force behind this magnificent collaboration between the Limerick Writers’ Centre (The Poetry Circle) and Lime Square Poets.
