Description

This book of poems is based on epigraphs from a single source – the book The Tailor and Ansty 2nd edition (1999) written by Eric Cross and published by Mercier Press; which was banned by the Censorship of Publications Board in Ireland until the 1960s because of its alleged indecency and obscenity and its depiction of premarital cohabitation, and its sexual frankness. The Tailor and Ansty became the subject of much bitter controversy.
