We are seeking authentic stories and poems from frontline workers engaged in social inclusion services for our upcoming anthology “Frontline Voices.”
WHO CAN SUBMIT
We welcome submissions from professionals and volunteers working directly with vulnerable people in:
- Addiction services (drugs and alcohol)
- Homelessness support
- Mental health services
- Crisis intervention
- Community outreach
- Social work and case management
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We seek writing that captures the realities, challenges, triumphs, and human connections experienced in your work. Your submissions might:
- Explore the complex human stories that rarely make the headlines
- Reflect on moments of connection, breakthrough, or challenge
- Illuminate the hidden struggles and strengths of those you serve
- Examine the personal impact of working in high-stress environments
- Offer your perspective on issues affecting vulnerable people
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
- Poetry: Maximum 3 poems
- Short stories/personal essays: 1,500 – 3,000 words
- All submissions must be original
- Please include a brief bio (100 words) describing your role in social inclusion work
IMPORTANT DATES
- Submission deadline: All submissions must be in by Fri 18th July 2025
- Publication date: Sept/Oct 2025

Your writing will help build bridges of understanding between those working on the frontlines of social inclusion and the wider community. We look forward to reading your work and sharing it with a wide audience.
