Second Trio Poetry Reading at The People’s Museum of Limerick for April 2025

April is Poetry Month in Limerick presents its second Trio Poetry Reading on Wednesday, April 23rd at 7:30pm in The Peoples Museum of Limerick, 2 Pery Square.

Featured poets include from Waterford Ger Duffy and Frank Farrelly and Cork poet Catherine Ronan.

Waterford poet Ger Duffy’s work appears in publications across Ireland, UK, US, and South Africa. Her poems have been anthologized internationally, received multiple awards, and earned recognition in competitions. She was featured at Cork Poetry Festival and the Southbank London, received mentoring awards, and is a Pushcart nominee.

Waterford poet Frank Farrelly’s work appears in numerous publications including Poetry Ireland Review and The Stinging Fly. He’s facilitated writing groups, published pamphlet “Close to Home” (2017) and collections “The Boiler Room” (Revival Press, 2020) and “Small Victories” (Revival Press, 2025). Selected for Poetry Ireland Introductions Series and received Artlinks bursaries.

Catherine Ronan, a West Cork poet with degrees in Applied Psychology, French, and Creative Writing, actively performs at open mics and with DeBarra’s Spoken Word Team. She won the Winter Solstice Poetry Competition, co-curated Poetry Town, created poetry film “Policing Mary,” and features at various festivals. Her debut collection Elemental Skin was published by Revival Press in 2024.

The Limerick Writers’ Centre is a non-profit organization founded in 2008 to support local writers through readings, workshops and publishing activities.
