Yes, it’s coming to that time of year again and we’re busy preparing for April is Poetry Month in Limerick 2020, which is organised by the Limerick Writers’ Centre and Quay Books, here in Limerick.
We are big lovers of poetry in Limerick so as part of April is Poetry Month we would like to give as many people as possible the opportunity to take part, no matter where you live in the world.
This year we are returning to our Poetry Trail instead of a Poetry Wall. As part of the celebrations we are looking for you to send us an original poem (max 16 lines) and we will choose thirty, one for each day of April and display them at various locations around the city. The poem can have already been published or why not write something new, ideally poems should be about ‘poetry’ itself or about the month of April.

Submit your poems to limerickwriterscentre@gmail.com put ‘Poetry Trail’ in the subject box. Closing date for submissions is 29th Feb 2020.

PLEASE NOTE: Poems with 16 lines or less will only be considered!
