REVIVAL PRESS ANNOUNCES LAUNCH OF CORA PETERS’ DEBUT COLLECTION “THE BEAUTY IN THE BROKEN”

Limerick, Ireland – Revival Press proudly announces the launch of “The Beauty in the Broken,” the highly anticipated debut collection from renowned Limerick poet and storyteller Cora Peters. The launch event will take place on Friday, April 25th at 7:30 PM at The People’s Museum of Limerick, 2 Pery Square.

Described as a “true modern day Bard,” Peters brings her exceptional storytelling gifts to this collection of poems and stories that evoke the vivid memories of growing up in 1960s Limerick. “The Beauty in the Broken” offers readers a deeply insightful and moving memoir in both poem and prose, chronicling her childhood, family relationships, education, and the influential people and places that shaped her remarkable voice.

“Peters captures Limerick – warts and all – with extraordinary humanity and insight,” says Dominic Taylor of Revival Press. “Her work represents exactly the kind of authentic, powerful local voice that Revival Press was established to champion.”

A respected figure in Limerick’s artistic community, Peters has a long history of contributing to the city’s vibrant literary scene. She was a regular reader at the White House Poetry Revival Sessions from 2003 to 2018 and has performed at the Limerick Poets’ Society events at O’Brien’s Bar. Since 2023, she has been a featured contributor to the First Wednesday Poetry Series and has read her work at venues throughout Ireland.

Revival Press, the poetry imprint of The Limerick Writers’ Centre, continues its mission of supporting established and emerging poets, both locally and nationally, since its founding in 2009.

The launch event is free and open to the public.
