In Dancing Around the Handbag, Margaret O’Driscoll sets out to                encounter herself, her life and loved ones in this lively and thought-provoking collection. Her poetry is clear-sighted, honest, unafraid to plummet the depths of grief and loss – but it is always open to finding solace in memories, relationships, the healing power of the natural world and everyday objects and happenings. Most especially, these energetic poems offer the reader the great gift of joy – how wonderful it is to be alive! A poetry book that will stay with you long after the last page is turned.
