Limerick born writer Michael McGrath publishes he debut collection of short stories on the 20th September 7.30 pm at Nelly’s Café, Nicholas Street, Limerick. The collection will be launched by actor, director and playwright Myles Breen.
The collection titled All About Town consists of ten short stories, all set in Limerick City and explores a range of genres, each story enters the world of a unique character: from the bedroom of a disaffected youth to the desk of a troubled teacher. This collection of stories is the human reflection of the Georgian and Gothic architecture of Limerick City.
Originally published in local and international journals, they have been revisited and expanded for this new collection.
Michael McGrath is one of Ireland’s most exciting emerging fiction writers. Widely published both nationally and internationally in journals such as Roadside Fiction, Writing Raw, The Ogham Stone and Literature Today. His first novel The Clock Tower was released in July 2017.
He works as a second level English teacher and currently lives in Wicklow, Ireland.
