Readers Dermot Hayes, ghost writer Breda Shannon and Dominic Taylor.
Dermot Hayes is a a community activist and is actively involved in the areas of inequality, racism, and in supporting the right to a standard of living where one can have a say. This has led Dermot into trade unionism, disability activism, campaigns around Travellers, and the environment.
The Road that Rises’ is a memoir from Dermot Hayes, formerly of Kells, Corofin and now living in Ennis. Breda Shannon was the ghostwriter. She is from Corofin and is a creative writer. Dominic Taylor is director of The Limerick Writers’ Centre, who are the publishers of the memoir.
