Trio Poetry Reading at The People’s Museum of Limerick for April 2025

 April is Poetry Month in Limerick presents its first Trio Poetry Reading on Sunday, April 6th at 3:00pm in The Peoples Museum of Limerick, 2 Pery Square.

Featured poets include Dublin’s Bob Shakeshaft and Helen Dempsey, along with Clare’s Deirdre Devally.

Bob Shakeshaft: Established Dublin poet with work in multiple anthologies. His collection “Auld Rope” was published by Revival Press in 2021.

Helen Dempsey: Dublin-born poet with publications in various anthologies and magazines. Winner of Fingal Libraries’ Poetry Day competitions and the 2023 Jonathan Swift Poetry Competition. Her debut collection is “Planting a Pear Tree” (Revival Press).

Deirdre Devally: MA in Creative Writing from UL (2023). Short-listed for Fish Poetry Prize and published in numerous literary journals. Recipient of Arts Council Literature Bursary Award and mentorships from Glór and Clare County Council.

The Limerick Writers’ Centre is a non-profit organization founded in 2008 to support local writers through readings, workshops and publishing activities.
