The People’s Museum of Limerick is proud to host the launch of Of Clay and Soil (Revival Press) the debut poetry collection by Dominic Taylor, on Friday, April 4th at 7:30pm. The event will take place as part of April is Poetry Month in Limerick in the elegant surroundings of the museum at 2 Pery Square, Limerick.
Of Clay and Soil marks a significant milestone as Taylor, known primarily as a publisher of numerous poetry collections, steps into the spotlight with his own deeply personal work. This collection presents an honest exploration of Taylor’s private self and deeply-felt concerns, offering readers a rare glimpse into the mind of someone who has long championed the voices of others.
The evening will feature selected readings by the author, followed by a wine reception and book signing.
“It is a rare experience to read a collection by a publisher of many poetry books,” notes the poet John Liddy. “Taylor’s work demonstrates an emotional authenticity that can only come from years of immersion in the business of poetry.”
Taylor, a familiar presence in Limerick’s vibrant literary scene, has been instrumental in promoting poetry through his publishing work and involvement in numerous cultural initiatives across the city.
