Savoy Editions Announces the Launch of a New Novel by Limerick Author Tom McElligott

Savoy Editions, an imprint of the Limerick Writers’ Centre, is delighted to announce the launch of Sense of Place, a compelling new novel by Limerick author Tom McElligott. The launch will take place on Thursday, 21st May at 6.15pm in Dooradoyle Library, Crescent Shopping Centre, Limerick.

The book will be officially launched by author and workshop facilitator Madge O’Callaghan.

About Sense of Place

A chance encounter on a rain‑soaked bridge draws a weary commuter into the orbit of an old tramp whose past is far richer, and far darker than his battered cup suggests. As the two men circle each other in a wary dance of curiosity and confession, a hidden life slowly emerges: boyhood innocence, family bonds, loss, addiction, and the long road toward survival.

Sense of Place is a moving and sharply observed novel about identity, memory, and the fragile threads that bind us to one another. It is a story of listening, of being seen, and of finding meaning in the most unexpected places.
