– A music-inspired creative writing session with writer Jessica Brown

Sat 9th April 2022 10 am to 1 pm
Central Buildings, 51 O’Connell Street, Limerick

Motifs, cadence, crescendos, emotions, memories, and the imaginary – a beautiful tradition exists between music and writing. Inspired by this year’s theme Notes from Literature this creative writing session will offer a series of prose and poetry prompts exploring the experiences of music put to words.

With a doctorate in Creative Writing from the University of Limerick, Dr. Jessica Brown is a poet, novelist, and creative writing teacher. Her publications include a collection of poetry, And Say (Revival Press, 2019), the children’s novel The River Boy (Finch & Fellow, 2016), and numerous stories and creative and academic essays. Born and raised in southeast Texas, she now lives with her husband and son in County Clare. Her website is www.jessicabrownwriter.com.
