How Will They Name Us? by Teresa Godfrey

Teresa Godfrey’s poetry reads like the assured construction of someone who has found their own voices. Many of the poems are minutely observed: seconds, minutes, hours, years of being alive. They don’t shy away from the truth, and (unlike so many collections) they allow other lives, compelling, whimsical, wry.

There is a saying in County Armagh, where Teresa comes from, There’s nothing gets past her, and in Teresa’s case, they’re right.
