Angie Togher is a Limerick-born writer who has resided in County Clare for the past four decades. Following a distinguished career as a Health Service Executive (HSE) administrator, she pursued her passion for creative writing upon retirement.

An accomplished author and storyteller, Togher has received recognition in multiple short story competitions. The Long Way Home marks her third published novel, building upon her growing body of literary work.

Togher resides in County Clare with her husband and is the proud mother of two adult sons. Her deep roots in the Mid-West region and extensive professional experience inform her authentic and compelling narratives.

Description

A woman makes a life-changing decision and flees Liverpool in the late 1980s, thinking that she can put her mistakes behind her and make a new life for herself.  But things don’t always work out as planned, and despite the new identity she has created in another city, she finds the past catching up with her. Will the fallout from her actions destroy the life she has built for herself? And what of the people closest to her? How will they cope as revelations of past sins come to light?
