Revival Press, the poetry imprint of the Limerick Writers’ Centre, are delighted to announce the upcoming release of a new poetry book from writer Eamon Carr. The launch will take place at Ruby’s Cocktail Bar, Ciss Maddens, 40 Drury St., Dublin, DO2 E128  on Thurs 20th July 6.00pm.

In this collection, titled FOUNDATION SONG, Carr delves into the profound themes of displacement, loss, and isolation, all while discovering a glimmer of hope that resonates on both universal and personal levels.

His deft recasting of Ovid and Basho, Irish mythology and the oral tradition, prompts Dr. Martina Devlin to observe, ‘His work contains the unexpected, the lyrical, the shocking – a combination that’s the mark of a poet.’

In addition FOUNDATION SONG will feature an Introduction penned by poet John Liddy.

We are delighted to announce that all pre-orders of the book will be signed by the author, adding a personal touch to this literary experience.

Eamon Carr, a prominent member of Irish Celtic Rock band Horslips, has an impressive body of work that includes The Origami Crow (Seven Towers), Deirdre Unforgiven: A Journal of Sorrow (Doire Press), DUSK (a verse drama premiered in the GPO), and CúChulainn Awakes (a short verse drama film).

The book is dedicated to his friend and former Horslips band member, the late Johnny Fean.
