Poet Tim Still Inspired by Limerick and its People

Limerick born poet Tim Cunningham turns 80 on June 21st and a special reading has been arranged for his birthday by the Limerick Writers’ Centre, the reading will take place at The People’s Museum of Limerick, 2 Pery Square and kick off is 7.30pm. Reading alongside Tim will be long-time friend and poet John Liddy and US poet Thomas Lynch. Tim Cunningham was born in Limerick and educated at C.B.S., Limerick, and Birkbeck College, London. The Limerick Writers’ Centre Announce the Winner of the Desmond O’Grady International Poetry Competition 2022.

The winners, and commended poems, of the Desmond O’Grady International Poetry Competition 2022 were announced last night by judge Adam Wyeth at the Desmond O’Grady memorial reading in the People’s Museum of Limerick. First prize: Kendrick Loo for his poem ‘laundry’ Kendrick Loo is a poet and reviewer based in Singapore. His writing has appeared in fourteen poems, EcoTheo, and Sundog Lit. He read English and Management at the University of St Andrews, and from 2019 to 2021 commissioned and edited literary reviews for Singapore Unbound. He currently works in academic publishing.
