Thomas Collins (Tomás Ó Coileáin) is a writer, teacher, poetry editor, father, and semi-retired goalkeeper from Limerick City. His debut collection in English, “Inside Out”, was published by Revival Press in 2020. At a thrilling Desmond O’Grady Memorial Reading, in association with Poetry Ireland, last Wednesday night the 17th April in The People’s Museum of Limerick, Co. Waterford based poet Ger Duffy, was announced as the winner of this year’s Desmond O’Grady International Poetry Competition, with her poem ‘The Afters. Born in Cork City in 1942, she is the daughter of Professor Cormac O’ Chuilleanáin and the novelist Eilís Dillon.
